Requesting Status of my application (in reply to: what is status request?)
what is status request? are the CIC people would let us know of the status of our application if we request them?? if so let me know the procedure for the same....my case time line is...
Sent application to RPC buffallo, Jan 2004
AOR Feb 2004
IA Oct 2004, file transferred to Detroit
They have told me that in two weeks they are going to transfer my file to detroit andi can check the status of my application at www.detroit.gc.ca, however it has been about 5 months and no updates were being made.
Can i Request them status of my case??

Dipa the best thing would be to get your CAIPS notes..do u about it...if not see this link:

i have a question for you guys? if they transfer the files, is that means you are asked for interview?
do those kind of cases only happens in U.S or whole Canada and U.S?

hello dipa,
my timeliene is similar to yours and my file was also transferred to detroit. i got the IA in october as well and in March I got a letter stating my file is being transferred. I can visit the website of the consulate general in detroit and see my file as "received awaiting interview scheduling". they seem to update that website once a month so hopefully on the next update they´ll schedule interview for me.
