yes robin, i did get 10 yrs visitors visa, though i had never been to US till day.well, yeah at times they give you for 10 yrs, its quite uncommon, it all depend upon the consulate you go and your background, they should be convinced that you are not that desperate to go over there.

yes robin, this is my 3rd yr of study,however im studying in a private institution (to mention Not a University or Community college), i have done my Bachelors in Finance and now currently doing Post Graduation in Management in Toronto.

Dude... I paid like US$ 320 for my medicals... That makes it about C$ 450 appox (of course they also kept US $60 for shipping and handling charges)...

Shop for the medicals, I saved more than $400 US by driving 300 Miles.

Thanx folks for your replies but as you can guess I am a bit confused. Does the medical test fees vary from DMP to DMP? Has the CIC not standardized the fees for all DMP´s for different locations?
Seems you guys got your medical done in US..how did u find the cheapest DMP you r mentioning? Please help me clear the doubts. Thanx.

I had my medicals done in London. The total cost was around ?600 plus change (about CAD1300+) for myself, my wife, and my three children. The children were ?60 each, my wife and I cost around ?210 each.
You can shop around, within limits.
CIC London sent us a list of doctors who are authorised to carry out the medicals, and from memory, there were about a dozen in the London area.
We called a few likely candidates to ascertain their fees, their available appopintments, and their turnaround time (this varied from ´we send the results to CIC on the same day´ to ´We bundle them up and send a batch off every two weeks´), then we selected on a combination of location proximity and cost.
We figured the ´care´ would be immaterial- this isn´t for your health per se, this is an administrative thing.
Anyway, long and short is that you can select from CIC´s list of approved doctors. Their costs will vary, so call a few first, and good luck!
