Hi everyone,
This is Raj. I am asking all those wonderful helpful guys on the forum this question:
´Is there a seperate timeline for people applying at Buffalo and currently living in Canada and for those applying at Buffalo but currently living in US´
I am worried because my sister applied from Buffalo for her PR, she is on a student visa in US, and she got her Passport Request & Visa stamped, even though she applied 3 months after me. I am currently on a student visa in Canada and I also applied through Buffalo.
Her status on the web says ´Decision made´, while mine still says ´In process´.
Do you guys think, it could be some issue with the medicals (not being delivered, etc.)
Shud I call the doctor, who did my medicals? Is there a way I can find out where the gap is? And can i do anything to fill that gap.
I appreciate all suggestions.

I forgot to add that I also got my medical request 3 months before hers, and submitted medicals 3 months before she did hers.

1. You should order CAIPS which will give you the exact official info. Dou know how to do it??
OR
2. Fax your query to CIC and tell them your concern.

It is the background check. Usually for females that goes very fast (stereotype - females are expected less a threat!!). I have heard similar situation even for US greencard.

When I spoke with CIC about this, they indicated that applications from those living in the US where given higher priority than those from people in Canada, since they viewed those in Canada as less urgent.

Thanks a lot people for all ur suggestions..i did the fax to CIC on friday. I dont know abt CAIPS ? Can u please shed some light on that?
