Well it is simple. If you want Canada Visa you have to fill application and fee or they will close the case and no refunds!!

Unfortunately CIC can´t be blamed for delay. They give no time frames.

It depends - do you have a US Green Card? If you already have then you can let go - however my advise is to keep the process of Canada visa going is you don´t have a US Green Card. The application fee you mention is only about a few hundered US dollars which is something we spend over month on entertainment etc.

you have an interesting situation. CIC needs something from you so they can proceed with your application. You are not sure if you should waste your money if they will not move your application forward. I am sure CIC gave you X amount of days to apply. If they do not have your response within that time, you will have sealed your own fate and they will close your file.

Okey... do you make the required points when you send in the application...

So you intend to immigrate to Canada after working in the US...

If yes then send the fees... Canadian immigration will only ask for ROLF if they are certain that the visa will be issues. Anyway ROLF is totally refendable.

Now coming to the application fees. Yes they are not refendable but if you want to come to Canada then its a must... WHen you applied you were sure that you were making the required points... right... so there are slim chances that your case might be rejected... I have always felt that the immigration system is not hard... its time consuming...

Anyways... It is a good idea to shell out that extra application fees of CA$550 and go for it... it is worth the money and worth the time...

The thing is that if during the application process if you get married then it is mandatory for you to update the information with CIC so that the file can be duely processed. This will ensure you and your spouse get the visa togather and there is no waiting time involved.

Good Luck
