Subject: Got PP Request (CIC Buffalo)
  Hello All,
I have been a keen follower of topics posted in this forum. I ve been better informed on several issues about Canadian Immigration because of the postings here.

Here Is My Timeline:
Indian Citizen, Skilled Worker Category.
Currently On H1-B1, MS degree from US.

Applied: 15 March 04
AOR: 12 Apr 04
IA Interview waiver: 31 Oct 04
Medicals + Documents Sent: 6 Dec 04
E-client Changed To "Medical Results Received" : 21 Mar04
PP Request Received : 23 Mar 04
Lawfirm: David Cohen

I did sent a FAX for Status Request On 14 Mar, got a handwritten reply on 16 Mar saying that my file was under "Final Review"

Here are few of my thoughts:
1) Eclient is broke. Until you have passed about 3 months after all docs + medicals have been submitted, There is NO point in checking The Eclient and frustrating yourself.

2) CIC Buffalo has a good system of "Handwritten Fax Replies" Once you send the Fax in nice and polite language for simple issues like Status Request, you should get a reply in 2 business days. I strongly suggest sending a FAX about 3 months after sending medicals + documents.

3)There is a phone number I found on this forum ( I dont have it now, I beleive its the office where doctors send the medical results) that you can call to conform that your medicals have been received. Its an Ottawa #, leave a polite message and they will call you with all the details.

4) FBI fingerprint requests for those in the US, can be had on a priority basis if you call them (find number on FBI website) and explain to them that you have a deadline. They will definitely try and accomodate within 1 week.

The Canadian Immigration system overall is not perfect, not even close. But I dont think its broken bad enough for us to lose faith in the system. The E-client service IS broken badly though. Please, dont lose faith. I got my PP request in about 1 year after applying. Again, beleive in yourself, dont get frustrated.
As they say, If You Hang In There Long Enough, Good Things Happen.
Wish You All The Very Best. I think I am hooked on this forum for life.
Thank you all very much
Parag

thank you for your words of hope and great advice.

As a Canadian taxpayer, I am very afraid to find out how much money we wasted on E-Client. We were better off without it rather than the way it is now.

Thank you very much for sharing information. When did you send your ROLF?
I applied in March 04 and did my medicals Dec 04. I got a letter from CIC asking to pay my ROLF in March 05.
