Subject: London office processing time
  Hi,

I have recently recieved my acknowledgement no from CIC. I wonder what the response time for the London office is.I have applied from Bahrain.

Also I am planning to goto Canad on a student visa as I cant wiat for my immigration to come through. Will there be a problem for me in getting a student visa for Canada as I have applied for immigration?

Thanks a Mil

processing time - depends! (in reply to: London office processing time)
As I said for Neo, same applies here. Every immigration center may have different time for processing. I think you should contact someone in London to find out.

Good luck,
Stan

I applied as a skilled worker back in February 2004 and my acknowledgement from the High Commission said that I should expect to hear from them within the next 18 months.

Having seen what other people have written I´m expecting it to take longer. The theme from any application is patience, patience, patience.

Hard I know because I feel I can´t get on with life whilst I´m stuck in England. Hang in there, I´m having to! Best wishes.
