Subject: Sharon please guide - Canada job before PR
  Hi Sharon.

I found from previos topics history of this forum , that you are so nice and your advices are fruit worthy.

I had applied for Skilled worker category PR from New Delhi India in Sept.2004 and Got AOR in OCT 2004. (FIle no. B04..)
According to information in AOR my total process will be completed with in 32 months.

My questions are:

1) what next expectation i should do and when ? I want to know some time lines for next procedures if you have idea

2) I am chemical engineer from reputed university and working with Reliance Group of Industries, one of Fortune 500 companies. I had vast 8 years of experience of petrochemical fields at almost all level of work and enviornments.

I had applied for many jobs in monster/workopolis etc. i got some reply that u re profile so lots convicing but i am not selected as presenlty i am not in canada.

Let me know is there chance to get sponsor ship or job before PR which can help me in this situation.

What do you suggest for me.?

Thanking for your considerationa and waiting for reply

Hiren

a job offer may give you points for adaptation but you are still facing a very long wait until you receive your PR. Unfortunately, a job offer does not move your application to the front of the line. more often than not, the job offer cannot wait until you arrive in Canada.

while you are waiting... you should find out if you need any special licensing in your profession. I know there is lots of work in Alberta for people with your skills.

Sharon.

I gone through lots of websites and yes u re right alberta is centre for Chemical /petrochemical jobs and i have to move there only for better prospects in future when ever i will be there.

I will have to professional engineer exams and already going for its details.

I need to ask, if i do any correspondance course related to my profession from Canadian university, will it help me in my process?

Regards

I would try and find a website for your licensing body. I am sure there is someone you could contact that might have better information about correspondence courses.
