| Subject: confused filling out additional family info form |

hi
i am applying pr for canada.i filled out all the other forms except additional family information form 5406.it is a little bit tricky. i tried calling call centers but no use.
i am the principle applicant. and applying for my wife also.
we don´t have any children.
now the guide says the form should be filled out by me, my wife.
in the relationship column there are 4 things 1 is applicant,2 spouce 3 father 4 mother.
suppose if i am filling out the form do i need to mention my name at applicant, and my wife´s name at spouce, and my father´s name at fathers and mothers name at mother?
like that if my wife is filling out the form she has to put her name as applicant and my name as spouce and has to mention her parents names at respected places?
please clarify me as early as poossible. i am getting delayed at this particular point?

if you ever have intentions down the road of sponsoring any of your family, CIC wants their information now.

Hi,
You have to put your name as the Principal applicant
even on your wife´s form. There can only be 1 Principal
applicant and the other one is automatically considered
a dependant.
So, on your wife´s form, she has to put your name under
the Principal applicant column and hers as the spouse.
She can proceed to fill out the rest of the form by herself.

I doubt the answer of my friend above, in the wife´s form, she is considered here the principle applicant. Plz correct me if I´m worng experts??
