Subject: To Lighthouse Family
For your information, my Chinese wife had never travelled outside of her country before immigrating to Canada, and I am a French speaking Canadian living in Quebec.

Since she arrived here, everything went very well. All my family members (she had met my parents for a few days in China) and my friends were very supportive and already love her. We meet the family and the friends every weekend and she enjoys that.

Since she arrived in Canada, she improved her English very much because she has to speak English everyday. And she began studying French every morning the week she arrived. At this school, she met immigrants from everywhere in the world and she already has many friends among them, mostly non Chinese.

Next summer, she will study French full time at the university till she will be perfectly bilingual. Because we think that she must master the two languages before looking for a job.

She keeps herself busy studying French and English and she does not feel lonely or home sick. She is very happy here and likes everything, even the snow... As you see, her integration has been very easy.

Tell your wife not to worry. Good luck
