By the way, because we want to travel via USA, my wife asked and was issued a visa to travel in USA good for 10 years. It has been very easy to get one. It will be very useful for us. So if your wife needs one, she does not have to hesitate.

Thank you for your suggestion. We will consider it though we don´t have any plans on visiting the states in the near future.
I´m just curious, was your wife required to show proof of funds at the port of entry or just having you for a husband was enough?

My wife had absolutely no money. I think they don´t ask for funds when we are sponsored because the husband is responsible. When she landed, we were travelling together.

We are planning on her coming here by herself and me picking her up at the airport. Hmmm, do you think that will cause any problem?

I do not think so. BTW, my wife landed in Vancouver and the Can. officers where very nice. It was very easy and did not take long.
Keep me informed when she will arrive and how she will adapt in Canada.
