I have a job offer in Canada and I am currently in the US. What should be my next step and how long does it take to get a working visa?

Since u hae graduated from a canadian univ...u can get a 1 yr work permit easily..within 3 weeks....if not then u might have to get a hrdc approval (ur employer may have to do it)...that may take longer....check out the cic website

post-secondary graduated work permit is so easy to get,I got it in two weeks, as long as you graduated from public institution and got a job offer related to your major. basically, no problem to initial a one year work permit without HRDC confirmation and you can be grant 15 points in PR too.

Well I have a degree a undergrad degree from the US. The company I am currently working with has a branch in Canada and they have about 40% of the business over there. So how do I get a work permit. I am not a graduate from a Canadian university.

check out and see if you are qualified for NAFATA work permit, don´t even think about HRDC, just too long time process and hard to get

there are very clear instructions under the CIC website for work permits and what the process must be. there is even a fast track process for IT workers. have a look. www.cic.gc.ca
