Yes it is Initial Assesment. It is a long wait to get IA after AOR depending to CIC you applied. For buffalo applicant it may take between 9 months to 1 year. It will also tell applicant if interview is required or not. Medicals also come with IA letter. CIC will also ask if they require any additional documents to process your application further during your IA.
