Subject: Unusual Delay - what should I do?
I applied for the skilled worker category in Dec 2003 to Buffalo. AOR was received in Dec 2003. Received IA in July 2004, sent all additional docs in Sep 2004. My check for landing fees was also cashed in Sep 2004. But I haven´t heard anything from Buffalo. No change in E-cas, still says "in progress". Status request was made in Dec 2004 but no reply. I am on an F1 visa in US

Can someone advice me what to do? Or is this normal?
Thanks

This may not be normal. But I am also in similar situation.

Currently a student in Canada.
AOR - Jan 2004
IA - July 2004
Medical / ROLF: Aug 2004
Waiting for PP request since then.

No reply from Buffalo on my fax that I sent more than a month ago.

Hopefully, I will receive my caips notes this week and will understand what is going on with my application.

I don´t know if this is a matter of comfort - but there are several of us i.e. Dec 2003 - Feb 2004 AORs who are waiting on Passport Request.

I´m in a similar situation - have sent 2 faxes but have no reply from Buffalo.

You guys can apply for CAIPS notes to see the current status of your file.

You will come to know if
1)the Backround and security checks have been completed or not.
2) Result of the medicals
3) If they are still waiting for some documents from you.

Thank you all for replies. I guess this must be not highly unsual. But I know a few people who applied during this time period for the skilled worker category and completed everything in approximately a year.

I just hope I don´t have to do another medical and police reports etc...
