Hi everyone!
My boyfriend and I are wanting to apply for Skilled visas to Canada. ALthough we have been together for nearly 5 years, we do not live together as he is in the forces. We therefore have no official documentation as proof of our common law relationship. Could any one advise us please on how we could proove this?
Many thanks in advance!

Utility bills.... (in reply to: Proof of common law relationship) Any old and new letters from friends or families with both of your names on it? What about a joint bank acounts? Utility bills (electric, water, telephone, appliances, rent, etc.) that showed both your names? A joint credit card/s account. Old and new holiday pictures or any pictures that you both had when you started. Anything that you can gather and file that has your name and your partner´s name with the same address/es. Do you and your partner have same address for the last five years? We´re quite new to this forum, however, for sure others will give you some helpful tips.
Goodluck to both of you.

a good website (in reply to: Proof of common law relationship) To Sam,
There´s a good website I found that would answer your question. There is a very thourough explanations and tips on how to apply to Canada as a same sex/ common-law partner (I hope I am not assuming that you´re at that relationship...if I am wrong my apology in advance).
The website is http://www.legit.ca/index.html I hope that it will help answer your question, browse the Q & A section.
