Subject: Sponsoring a person on a visitor visa
I hope someone could help me. I would like to sponsor my Mom who is currently living with us as a visitor. And I would also like to keep extending her visitor visa while the sponsorship application is being processed. (I´ve already extended her visa once). Is it possible to do this? Is her extension likely to be rejected if I apply to sponsor? Does she have to leave Canada so that I can apply to sponsor? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks very much!
Ilona

You can not sponser your Mom while she is on visitor visa and nor you can extend her stay anymore now. She has to go back to her native country. It parants sponsership is a long process.

your plans are exactly the reason CIC declines thousands of visitor visas every year.

Unfortuantely, you only have one choice in this matter. You parent must return to the home country, and you can then apply to sponsor them. That is the process that every PR must follow.

Can anyone of you suggest me that what papers I have to submit along with the application form from Parents side. I am consufesd about the medical also? Do my parents require medical before applying for Visitir Visa? What type of visa is good for the first time means among "Single entry" and "Multiple Entry" which is the best to go for.? How much is the duration of each visa?

Please suggest me how to proceed?

Thanks
