| Subject: What is FBI-clearance certificate ? |

What is FBI-Clearance certificate ? Is it necessary for apllicants applied for PR ? I have applied from New Delhi. and I have given two medical exam. still I am waiting for the PP request. But CHC didn´t ask for FBI-clearance... when they will ask for this.
Any one who have the knowledge about this. Kindly send the response.

FBI-clearance are required only for PR applicants who have resided in the United States for at least 6 months since they turned 18 yrs old. If you resided only in India then this requirement doesn´t apply to you.

Thanks anonymous. I m waiting for my PP request after 2nd medical done in 25th Jan.´05. How long I have to wait ? Should I have to check my status through caips notes ?

If u have submitted the Police clearence certificate of ur last stay where ever u have been for past couple of yrs that should be fine.As ur in India FBI clearence will not apply for u.

Hi,
I have stayed in USAfor more than 2 yrs. Just wondering should I take only FBI clearance certificate or/and state police clearance certificate.
Currently i am residing in Canada and applying immigration.
