Inspite of submitting all the required documents, my parents Canadian visitors visa got rejected. Is there a time period after which they should apply again? Please advice.

I think they can try again immediately, but until you address the reasons they were declined you will get the same answer.

Why were they rejected?
Sharon is absolutely right, as usual. You must find out why they were rejected and then fix that problem.
Keep trying.

GOOD luck

Thanks for the quick replies! Well, actually it seems that the consular was not satisfied that they would go back to India after their visit. We did show enough proofs to prove that they will not live here permanantly, but not sure why they rejected.

unfortunately, other people before your parents have spoiled the situation by not going home at the end of their visa. CIC will say no before they will say yes because of the expense and trouble to force your parents to leave if they stay beyond their visa.

something else to consider - each immigration officer is accountable for every visitors visa they issue. if your parents do not return home, it goes against the officers record. It says he did not do his job well. If the officer is at all nervous that an applicant will not return home - they will choose to be safe rather than sorry.

How about show officer your parent?s connection with Indian? Like property, retire pension, stuff.

I think it?s not people?s fault if they decide that they want to immigrate to Canada using visitor visa, as long as they do everything legally, including legally stay. You can?t blame people on that.

Departure Bay,

There is an intent clause associates with the issuance and acceptance of a visitor visa. If you knowingly accept a visitor visa fully expecting to NOT return even legally (by applying for PR) whatever, you are in violation of the visa terms.

Before a visitor visa can be issued the applicant has to satisfy 2 issues to the satisfaction of the officer.

1. Have sufficient fun and or sponsor so that the applicant will not be a liability of the state.

2. Upon the expiry of visa the person shall leave Canada.

As you see # 1 is pretty easy to satisfy but # 2 is quite different.

If at anytime the office beleives the two conditions can not be satisfied he is required to refuse the visa

yep, you are right, you know what? all of us here should not be granted student permit or work permit when we applied, because finally we decide to stay here, funny.

We can´t accuse others, because simply we stay here
