| Subject: Original Certificates Requested |
Dear all,
I´ve been requested by CHC to send my ORIGINAL University degree and mark sheets.
My question is: Why do you think they requested for the originals, is there any doubt , is it a positive thing or a negative thing in my case?

I have never hard them asking original degree certificates. I think you did not submit your transcripts sealed in the university envelope earlier. If you have submitted the photocopies earlier, try to send transcripts. Sending originals is too risky, I guess.

the point of seeing originals is to determine if they are real. beleive it or not, even the paper that is used is taken into consideration.
I would be inclinded to comply with their request.

Did you not send them attested or notarized? Sending original is too risky I guess.

Thank you for your kind replies.
I am going to send the original degree, my lawyer has told me that they will return it back for me if I request this and definitely I will do.
In fact I am amazed why they requested a certain original degree (my Bachelore) while my file includes many other certificates including my Master´s degree!

You are right, I am going to comply with their request, but I did not get what do you mean exactly by "even the paper that is used is taken into consideration" can you explain this please?

I read an article where there is many ways to detect fraudulent documents. Immigration officers become very proficient at examining ´original documents´ to detect fraud - including the texture and quality of the paper that transcripts and degrees are printed on. If you have genuine original documents, this request will only be to your advantage.
