Subject: Working while visiting in Canada |
I am visiting my sister here in Canada and would like if I am elegible (or allowed) to work here in Canada while visiting. I will be staying here for 5 months and it would be great if I can earn few bucks.
What are the rules?

(in reply to: Working while visiting in Canada) No, I don´t think you can legally work while you visit Canada. You see I don´t know any country that allows that, simply because of it´s own employment rate, which is understandable.

(in reply to: Working while visiting in Canada) Definitely not. You are a visitor!!!
Enjoy your stay.

(in reply to: Working while visiting in Canada) if you are staying longer, try to apply for work permit.
it will take about a month, but you will still have some time to earn extra $$.
if you apply for work permit you can even extend your stay up tp 12 months with the same application. work permit will cost you $150, extension $75.
you may need a job offer for that, but as far as I know it is a plus but not necessary.
good luck
