To applicants in the US.
What form of payment did you send for RPRF (Landing) fee. The Buffalo web site mentions that they accept funds in US$ (that is $820 for principal applicant/spouse) in the form of draft, certified cheque, money order. Can I simply get a cashier´s check from any US bank and consider it a "certified cheque"? Or is it better to go to US Post Office and get a money order? Which form of payment can you easily track if it is encashed? Thanks.

In my case I simply printed out what Buffalo web site said about RPRF and went to my US bank. They gave me a cashier´s check and that worked fine. But you can send them (Buffalo) money order as well.

Yea, the only bad thing about that service that it does not work for everybody:-) "Electronic payments cannot be made for applications that are sent to Citizenship and Immigration Canada processing centres outside Canada."

Thanks Olek/Mohit for your reply. I don´t want to wait for CIC´s letter asking me to pay RPRF. I want to pay it early on, because the value US$ is depreciating against CA$. To whom should I issue the check: 1. "Receiver General of Canada" or 2. "Canadian Consulate General"? I´ll appreciate your help in this very specific question.
