Subject: Confusing letter from Buffalo.
  Hi everyone,
We just received a confusing letter from buffalo after sending them 2 faxes. The letter states that our application is under consideration and that we were asked to do medicals and asked to send some extra docs some time back. But we never received anything until now ,not even the IA.I don´t know what to do.As far as I know they are supposed to send the IA letter which states if an interview is reqd. and also to conduct meds.We never got anything from cic...What should we do now?Shall we do medical and send them the docs they asked for?
Regarding meds which doctor to go to?Those mentioned in the cic site?
They have not mentioned about interview...what does that mean? Please help.
Bharat.

you will not get an IA until you satisfy their requirements. The first question is...did you get a letter requesting that you supply some additional documents, and to have your medicals done? If not, you must advise them than you did not receive those instructions and may you please have additional time to comply.

Hi sahron,
Thanks for your reply. No we did not receive any letter requesting medical tests or additional documents.I shall fax them stating that.
I have another problem...they want police certificate from france where we stayed for some time but I really don´t know how to obtain that? What happens if I cannot provide them with that? Also Do they designate a particular doctor or we can go to one from the cic site?
Bharat.

You cannot get your medicals done with the DMP without a letter from CIC. So better fax, and also send by courier, CIC requesting them to resend the medical forms and also the list of additional documents. If they have not mentioned abour interviews, seems to me that they you have got an waiver.

Hi Bharat,

When did you apply for immigration? It seems that your IA got lost in the mail.

You should send a fax to Buffalo informing them that you did not receive any correspondence from them and that they should re-issue your medicals.

it´s easy to get a police clearance from France -- I had to for my application, too.

Just go to:

http://www.justice.gouv.fr/cjn/demb3.htm#cerfa

and follow the instructions. You´ll have to print out the form and mail it in with a copy of your identification. The application doesn´t cost anything but a stamp. And the Minisere de la Justice is fast too -- I got mine in only a couple of weeks.

It´s quite sad that CIC is sending these kind of important documents via regular mail. You are not the only person whose important information got lost in mail. BTW, you need to present the medical exam forms issued by CIC at the time of exam and you can not individually fulfil them. Good luck.
