Public service commission of Canada just did a job fair in my previous college. I went there and check out and talked to one of officer. Sounds like they really need some young and energetic people, even somebody understands the other language. French is not mandatory; they will pay and train you. There are more than 100 position in CIC this year. However, you have to pass Written Communication Test (WCT) (and) Situational Judgement Test (SJT) (and) Graduate Recruitment Test (GRT) exam, WHICH is EXTREMELY EASY FOR GRADUATED STUDENTS. I checked them out in library already.

Too bad, I am neither PR nor Canadian citizen. Can?t apply.
Guys here you still can apply before April 19th, 2005.

Dear Sir/Madam, I would be veery happy if you could give me a job in foreign service. I hold Med. and B.A. in International studies. I know that the first thing I may be asked is: Do you have experience? As a recent graduate I would request if you could give me a position to acquire experience.Thank you.Dominic

The Government of Canada has ´frozen´ any further recruitment for this year. Very dissapointing and a terrible move both for aspiring students and the foreign service. They also did it "quietly" so no media or opposition complaints.

Why are they still having applicants apply and go through the exams, is it just to increase the pool?
