Subject: Police Cllearance Certificate Indian Consulate |
What is the process of getting PCC from the Indian consulate in Chicago, US?
Can I send the photocopy of my passport with the Miscellaneous form and fees?
I am a bit apprehensive of giving the original passport for a long time.
Has anyone gone thru the process?

(in reply to: Police Cllearance Certificate Indian Consulate) Every indian citizen has gone through getting the PCC. Its a very straightforward process, every bit of info is on each indian consulate´s website.
Sending Photocopy is unacceptable and meaningless, as an endorsment of your getting the PCC needs to be made in your original passport. I have not heard of any instance of anyone losing their PP because of indian consulates in US
