Hello this is a great forum.
Does anyone out there have any knowledge regarding numbers of applicants applying through Sydney. It would appear that the staff at Sydney CIC are under the pump and swamped with applications. Can anyone confirm this and offer any insight as to the current length of time it is taking to get to the IA stage. This is by no way a criticism of the CIC staff as one would need to be living on another planet not to realize and appreciate the volume of work these offices must now have to deal with.

Everyone has his/her own reason to immigrate and is free to choose...so let it be like that people.
Buddy according to the info on CIC website Sydney has one of the fastest processing times among CIC offices abroad. So it might be just some complexity in your case which could b causing the delay. By the way what´s your timeline to better understand ur anxiety.

Hi There,
I submitted my application to the SYDNEY office in March 2004, got the interview waiver and IA in November 2004. Underwent the medicals on 30th November and was asked to submit additional medicals in February 2005, which I did. I am now desperately waiting for a decision from CIC.
Sydney apparently has one of the fastest processing times.
