CIC extended work permit time from 1 year to 2?

Subject: CIC extended work permit time from 1 year to 2?
  Hi all. I heard CIC just extended the post-graduate work permit time from 1 year to 2 years now. Is it already valid? If yes, then my question comes to this i graduated last year and had my work permit issued for a year (Aug 2004 to Aug 2005), so will i be able to renew it for another year easily? Thanks.
