Applying from Buffalo questions (in reply to: Spouse Sponsership (Please share time line))
Hi! I get more and more confused every time I look at the paperwork or talk to someone in immigration. I need to apply from the USA (my boyfriend is Canadian). We were going to apply from inside Canada, I have since been told that I cannot. I am leaving Canada this month and going back to the USA.

Question: The application on the CIC website says that my boyfriend (sponsor) needs to send all of the information and money from inside Canada to Ontario. I was told that I must go through the Buffalo office. I´m confused, we´ll he send the paperwork to Ontario and my paperwork be sent to Buffalo from Ontario?

Question: We are going through as conjucal partners since we cannot live together (he works in Canada) and I am not allowed to stay they said so I will get a job in the states.
How long does it take for the paperwork?

Question: Will I be allowed to visit? I was told I could stay a month and than need to leave, however immigration at the border could not tell me if I could stay longer for my next visit, I´m wondering because I´ll need to make reservations, and not sure what to do about it.

Thanks.
Dottie
