Subject: Med Exam results
Does anyone know if the CHC gets medical results etc from Canada at the time it sends letter that it has started processing or does it get medical results etc. as a final step only after it has made some decision on the application.

My medical exams were done in USA since I was studying there. Would that make any difference to my time line?

In your case medical results should have been done already
cause they asked u to submit ur PP. so nothing to worry about.

I don´t have my family name mentioned on my passport.
cause i did´nt use that. But in form there were some areas where u were required to fill in that. So do i also need to get my family name added on my passport.

Adding last name (in reply to: Med Exam results)
In the letter I recd to submit my passport,it clearly stated that CHC doesnot recognise Kaur and Singh as last names !! (I found that unreasonable and hurtful!)

They did not require me to add my husbands last name.I could have added my dads i.e. our family name too.

But my husband suggested that I might as well just add his name caz I will face that requirement again when I reach Canada. So we just thought it was better to add husbands name rather than my dads/my family name.

I think going by the words of their letter I had recdif you have Singh as last name on ur passport they WILL ask you to get name changed !

But I wish they dont.It is an unneccesary step in the already long process!

Gurvinder: Speed post Tracking no: (in reply to: Med Exam results)
I had recd 13 digit tracking no.
It starts with 2 letters EE and ends with IN

In the original reciept it ended with TN.It should however be read as IN (It stands for India)and in beginning ignore anything before EE.

Jas,

Did you receive a second letter which specifically asked for listed documents, cause the first letter you get is AOR which also states that the next step is to send in your passport (this is a confusing letter), but you do get another letter, specifically asking for the listed documents.

The first letter I recd. post marked 2nd March, was AOR and I was asked to submit passport in that letter.

The second letter I recd. post marked 10th March, had a list of 12-13 documents. But for me only the first item for passport was checked i.e. I was asked to submitt passport only.

They did not ask me for any other document.

Hopefuly, caz everything else was in order !!

I do have a question though:

Did everyone recieve AOR´s without any date on the letter? Or was my case exception that they sent me undated letters !!

Dates I have given are by post mail date.
