Because your wife is living outside of Canada with you, it will take a little longer to make a decision on the sponsorship. I know of at least five people, including myself, who have been waiting over the prescribed time that they post. Be patient and all should be OK. I sent my application March 6th and we are in still process (sponsor approval) and we are still waiting.

GOOD LUCK

question (in reply to: spouse sponsership for outside canada anyhelp?)
I´m sorry I cannot offer help but I have a question that someone here will probably be able to help me with.
You applied for sponsorship outside canada and it only took about a month right?
I´m applying for sponsorship within canada and that takes up to 5 months.
Do you know the difference? I´m happy to leave the country for a month and come back if it´s only going to be that quick!!
PLEASE REPLY!!!

THANKS IN ADVANCE!

I left Canada in Feb-05.....my husband sent the process in March-05 and today e-client say "decision made".....but I do not know which decision....good or bad......I have to wait for my husband to receive the letter......I am afraid that his income tax was not enough to be sponsor......or something is wrong with the documentation.......I DO NOT KNOW WHY SO FAST...???@?@?@?

TO OLIVYA
Sometimes the decisions are made in 25 days so don´t worry..it is probably approval. The decision to approve sponsorship can be very very quick. The decision for the actual PR can take months.

ROBERT
You can check e-client with a receipt number from a pre-payment of fees. I paid by Internet so I have a receipt number.

My application to sponsor my wife was received at CPC-M on Feb 21st. According to my bank, my draft was cashed on March 2nd. I have heard nothing from them yet.

I cannot express how irritated I am about this. CIC clearly states that applications received since March 11th will take 25 days including 10 days transit to be processed. No where does it say that if you are living over seas it will take over two months.
