  hi!
my problem is that i am a canadian immigrant and landed in 2001,but did not made any thing like sin, health card etc..
and just came to maerica with my us visit visa.but on those days no body checked my passport or anything, didnot gave any i-94.and from now on i ma staying here in america, with my husband and 3 kids.now i wanna go back to my home country.i ma thinking og applying pr card so i can go through canada.they have no records of mine in america.
so my question is should i stay here until my husband got his us citizenship and then apply green card for me, that take 5-6 years or can i go to pick up my pr crad from canada and from there to my country.
how difficult is this???
what they usually ask at the border?
will they ask for i-94?if yes then what should i do?
plz answer me as i am very much upset!

Hi Sonia,

It is the responsibility of the landed immigrants to maintain their PR status in Canada. To maintain the PR status you should have stayed in Canada for 2 years out of 5 years starting from the day you landed in Canada.

Kindly calculate how many days you were outside Canada after landing as PR. If you were out for more than 3 years then I am afraid that your PR has been canceled. But I would strongly recommend that you consult a professional to access what are your options.
