Visitor Visa while PR submitted

Subject: Visitor Visa while PR submitted
I got my visitor visa from Buffalo, NY cleared in less than 10 days.

I was needlessly concerned since I applied for PR, my request for visitor visa may be refused as I have read from many posts on this forum itself that CIC does not like to issue visitor visa if your PR application is under process.

I went over the guide (available on CIC web-site) and followed the instructions. I just got my visa yesterday. Just got to show that, the immigration officials at Buffalo ?are? making rational judgment.

I have heard on and on especially from Sharon and few others how it is easier for immigration officers to simply refuse your visitor visa request and save their promotion(s) and job. I can say that this accusation is false. I feel that as long as you follow the instruction on the guide and give ample reason for the officer to believe you, you will get the visa. No document is less important than other ? so include all documents as asked. Make a professional packet (Just don?t throw in papers) ? organize them and list each with post-it identifying each. Yours is not the only application which officers have to go through so it is important that all important and relevant information is available for officer to view in the limited time he/she may give your application to make a decision.

So for future applicants as me - my humble advise is not to feel negative about application process, remain positive and don´t get dissuaded by a few negative energies on this forum. Sharon I respect her advice on lot of things but not the ample negative energy she has brought to ?discredit? the visa processing procedure.

As it is listed on practically all countries visa application guide ? ?visa is a privilege not a right?, the onus of influencing on officer to grant you visa is on you and not visa versa.

The country which you are coming from and the reason for your visit is critical.

I am pleased that you had success - congratulations.
