Subject: Family member Immigrant

I have been sposored by my wife to come to Canada as a family member.

We live outside of Canada , Does she have to go to Canada before me and wait until my PR is approved?
BTW she has been approved as my sponsor.

Or can be approved abroad (my PR) even if she isn`t in Canada.

Our plan is that if she doesn`t have to leave me behind until my visa is approved , she will travel with me and together arrive in Canada.

One more question....

Do I have to show a proof of founds at the port of entry even if I have been sponsored ??and I have a letter of a job offer (from an employer not verified by HRDC)?

Thanks for the help in advance......

She has to arrive in Canada before or at the same time as you.
She can wait and bring you with her.She is already approved so that is step one done.
Your approval is different. BUT they can approve you while she is abroad.
I dont think you need proof of funds since you are sponsored.

Good Luck
