Subject: Decision Made
My husband received a letter from CIC that the sponsorship process was approved in Canada. They said that all paper work was sent to my country.

- Does it means that:
- Once the CIC approved the process the consulate in my country has no power to refuse the process...?

- Do I need to go for an interview..?

Or I still depend on the final approve from the consulate in my country?

This just means that your husband has been approved as your sponsor. This is just the first step in the process. The Canadian consulate in your home country will make a decision on your case. They will be notifying you in case an interview is required.

The Embassy/Consulate in your country has all the power to refuse the application. Step one is complete and now you must wait for the longer step in the process.....YOUR application.....and interview might be needed but it might be waived....it all depends on the application and how much supporting evidence you including.

Good luck
