My name is Chi Wei Lim (official chinese name). In most occasion, people name me Patrick Lim (unofficial english name). Therefore, my name will differ from document to document like job reference letter and IT certificate, such as Chi Wei Lim, Patrick Lim and Chi Wei (Patrick) Lim.
When i apply for immigration, will that affact my application? I think the answer is most likely yes, but my question is how can i do to eliminate the confusion? Submit a explaination letter along with the applcation?

A letter explaining the difference is very good. Whenever you submit something that might confuse CIC, send an explanation letter.
