Subject: we must choose a city and stay there for 1 year? |
Hi,
I was told that once you get the PR you have to go to your chosen city and stay there for at least one year. Is that true? What happens if you change your mind and want to live in another city (not the one you wrote in the application)?
Thanks for your help.

(in reply to: we must choose a city and stay there for 1 year?) Not true. You can stay anywhere you want to in Canada when you get your PR card.

(in reply to: we must choose a city and stay there for 1 year?) That´s right sonny,
Once person arrives to Canada, person is free to go to any city.

only if you are on a provincial nominee program (in reply to: we must choose a city and stay there for 1 year?) Thie info you have is true... but that only if you have immigrated to Canada on a provincial nominee program... and in this case you have to stay there for a little more then a year...
In other case... you are free to move wherever you want..
Good Luck
