Subject: Slogan for PR
  Guys,
To lighten up things I thought we should come up with some themes/slogans depicting the Canadian PR process (in a lighter vein of course).... So let me put forward the first of the series (hopefully !!)....

I was thinking about the Canadian PR process this morning at work and it reminded me of an ad that used to run back home in India (that´s where I am from) about a moped called HERO HONDA. It went something like "Fill it, and FORGET it !!" praising about the excellent mileage the vehicle is supposed to give, so under similar circumstances for the PR you have to think the slogan as.....

"APPLY for it, FORGET it !!"

I´m sure others here would agree....what say ?

( I apologize to all friends not familiar with the above ad )

If you can´t get it off your mind, and get yourself enough free time to be thinking of slogans about the process, man! you sure are killing yourself. After all it´s an immigration process, and you can´t expect it happen overnight!
Jeez! you guys got to be realistic here. I believe, it´s still much faster than any other country, take U.S immigration process for example.. heck it´s almost a ban on the green cards filing even.

My sincere advise is: Do yourself a favour, and give yourself a break. You´ll feel much relieved.

Good one, Raj. It´s also like an advertised American rotisserie all over TV, where the slogan emphatically shouts "set it and forget it!".

Yes, I too am frustrated by the long delays. And despite Anonymous´s claims that this is somehow normal---well I have news for him, it´s NOT. I propose that our PR´s be processed ahead of his, since he seems to think it´s not an issue.

Hi Anonymous,
I like your way of venting your frustration on the posts here, I´m sure you are feeling better now, but with due respect I choose not to use "your" ways to channel it out, I think it works better for me to come up with some lighter or humorous angle to it !!

And Oh, BTW, I do take your advice sincerely (rolling my eyes "NOW")....

(Keep venting)

Somebody is trying hard to be funny here. I think you got really offended by what I said, anyhow I highlighted a fact here, which is why you couldn´t come up with something directed to what I pointed out.

Make a slogan, or sing a song, whatever you do, it´s gonna take whatever it takes.

And finally you can try your sarcasm somewhere where it can serves you better.

Goodluck waiting....just try to make it easier on yourself...duh!

Anonymous,
What you pointed out earlier (whatever that was !) is true (if that´s what it gonna take to make you happy).... coming to the PR process wait (ha ha) well, sorry if I gave you the impression that I am not ready to wait that loooooong, or maybe you might have jumped to a conclusion by yourself about what I think in the big picture (hey, have you seen the movie Office Space ? The fat guy´s "jump to conclusions" mat would be your best friend here !)
Also I have to let you know that your comments are very much appreciated, but I´m afraid, I can´t assure you that it will be taken up by anyone, just like my comments, but that should not discourage you from writing a few lines, its actually amusing (believe me) and brings some color to the conversation.
Last but not the least, thanks for your Good Luck. Your tone of conversation does indicates that you maybe upset in general, I hope things take a turn for the better in your life.
