Subject: Landing Issues
  Hi All,

I recently recieved my passport with Immigrant visa stamp under spouse sponsorship from CHC, New Delhi.

I would appreciate if you could provide me with some info:

I am in India.I need to go to USA before going to Canada.

I was studying in USA for 2 years and I have some things to take with me from US which I had left there in Feb 05,to come to India to submit my passport in Delhi,India for stamping.

Within few days of reaching US, I will be going to Canada in my car with my personal effects.I will be crossing over from Michigan state to Toronto.

1. Could someone share their experiences regarding this i.e.what the procedure is and what to expect?

2. Also,is there any problem if I go to Canada thru US and not directly from India?

3. Can I undertake another trip to USA to bring back any other stuff I am not able to take with me the first time.

Pl. advise.

Thanks.

Jas

Hi Anonymous,

Thanks for ur reply.

Is this your random guess or do you know it would caz procedural difficulties?

Caz my travel to USA for few days is important.

My USA University graduation ceremony is also coming up which I will be attending.Would that help to justify my travel thru US?

Anyone out there done something similar,pl. share ur experiences.

Thanks.

You can land from anywhere in the world. Go ahead and go to USA, you will have no problems.
