I am sorry to say but you will likely have to struggle to have the same lifestyle you have now. Why would you give up a high paying job???
Good luck!

Thanks for the info..

I know I will have to struggle a little bit as it will be a new place. But All I mean is that it should not mean that I will not be able to get this kind of job or lifestyle. Pls guide on this.

consider this... I am a business consultant in Canada and I would like to live and work in India. Can I just arrive and find the same standard of living and salary the day I arrive, or do I need to learn something about the Indian business model, taxes, government programs etc.

If I came to your country with that expectation, you would laugh me all the way home.

Thanks a lot everybody. I always knew that fundamental knowledge of canadian economy is v imp.....But after all this I was hoping a positive reply in terms of with a few conditions I can settle well. But guess its a total waste to immigrate and settle in Canada. Thanks anyways

it all depends on what you are looking for and what you are willing to do to achieve it.

if you are looking for an easy transition, instant lifestyle and all the immediate benefits... you are not being realistic. It would not matter what country in the world you went to - you are not being realistic.

Thanks Sharon,
My only aim to post this question was to have a feel of the job market in my domain. I know initially we need to put in lot of effort, but my concern is it should not happen that after I leave my job in India and come to Canada, I don get a job for long. Just wanted to have an idea if I come therefor 15 days and hunt, will I be able to get a reasonable job..or will I not get a job for 2-3 months.Tks

15 days is totally unrealistic.
