Hi There! I?d applied in Canada (Spouse Sponsorship)in December 04 but did not hear anything from CIC yet. Is there anybody in the same situation? here is my time line.
CIC received my application on Dec.09,2004
Processing started on Feb.26,2005
They recvd my PCC & Marriage Certificate on April 14,2005
Above information I got from e-client Satatus. Nothing till the date. Anybody can share if in same situation.

Yes I am in the same boat, waiting to hear back from them. Also applied for PR - Sponsor/Commonlaw,spouse class. My partner is sponsoring me.

They received my application for permanent residence on December 23, 2004.
They started processing my application on March 08, 2005.
They sent me a letter on April 15, 2005. (Asking me to update my address and to account for some dates 10 years ago to do with my work history)

I have sent the additional information they requested and I haven´t heard anything since. But I also know that they could be waiting for my visitor extension application too. My visitor status expired on May 8th,and I also sent the extension application April 12th. So they could be waiting for that before they make a final decision. Who knows.

Yes, CIC received our application and we received our visa approval today, May 12, 2005. I have a question for everyone else. My wife is currently here in Canada on a tourist visa, living with me while we waited for word. Does she now have to go back to her country to start landing procedures? Or is there another way? ANy help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Jay Jay...
So you applied as out side canada applicant? why you did so? If your wife is in Canada on a visitor Visa you could apply in Canada Class? I wondered...obvious now CIC would already transfered your´s wife file to the native country and if an interview require she have to go to the native country. For more information you can visit www.visas-services.com it is a paid site for any consultaion. I did that .

In Canada, have you received word from CIC regarding your application? I´ve also applied under the spouse in Canada family class. Here´s my timeline:
CIC received application on August 08, 2005.
Processing started on September 14, 2005.
All necessary documents (incl. police certificates, medicals) and fees have been submitted upfront. Haven´t heard anything from them. I´m hoping to receive positive communication in early February.
