Are there a lot of jobs for pre-school teachers in Canada?

how many were you looking for? 1, 10, 100? I understand what you are asking. The answer depends in a big way on what city you intend to settle in. The newspaper is not full of ads for those types of positions but I am sure with careful research, you would be able to be successful in your job search.

This is my concern as well. I am a teacher, and wish to live in Toronto. I am certified in all subjects 1-8, French at all levels, French immersion, and with emphasis in Math and History. The workopolis site doesn´t look too promising, but my wife suggests that the internet isn´t always the best source to discover job outlook/ prospects.

Greg - you need to anticipate getting licensed to teach in whichever province you move to. one other option is to investigate private schools which may not require the same licensing from the college of teachers.

FYI... in BC, french immersion is HOT! they are begging for teachers - but again - licensing is your key.

applying as a pre-school teacher (in reply to: Pre-school teacher)
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am a pre-school teacher with a 10 year plus working experience in an International School. The most recent was in Shanghai, China teaching in a French International Kindergarten. I believe my experience in handling multi-cultural children will be of great contribution to any Pre-school in Canada. I am willing to be re located.
I am willing to undergo any examination or interview at your convenient time.
Sincerely,
Marietta Hugo
