Does canada have the same FICA (credit score) here in the U.S.? will our FICA score here in the U.S. be accredited to Canada .. when we .. let´s say go for a loan for a house or a car?

(in reply to: FICA score) no, Canada does not use the FICA score. I own a house and a car and I have no idea what system the banks use to determine my credit rating. I think they look at income/payment ratio, your bill payment track record,there is a credit beureau (I spelt it wrong), they look at your net worth.
if you are coming from the US, bring any letters from your bank about past loans and repayment success. you will not be in the canadian system and will have to re-establish yourself.

I think I get that system already .. it´s almost the same in Australia which is quite better than the U.S. FICA score which can be manipulated ...
