Subject: March AOR, shall I order CAIPS
I got my AOR march 8th 2005, is that ok to order CAIPS right now? One more question, can I order CAIPS like several times a year, is there any impact to my application?

Please do not order CAIPS notes now. It will be a complete waste of money.

You should order CAIPS notes if you have been called for an interview OR if there has been a substantial delay in the processing of your file after the IA(Initial Assessment) has been done.

You can order CAIPS notes as many times as you want to but keep in mind that every time you order the notes an entry is made and it will just look wierd if you start applying for CAIPS notes for no reason whotsoever.

I´ll back Kenny on this one and go even further to say that CAIPS isn´t going to give you alot of info even if you do have an interview or delay.

eg. my Wife received letter to say she is on interview list and to wait for further instructions, so we waited and waited. Finally after 6 months I ordered CAIPS. The only thing CAIPS told me was giving a small hint as to why interview is needed but I can only guess(possible misunderstanding of relationship with some of her relatives already in Canada).
IT DID NOT give any clue as to when the interview will be, IT DID NOT give any clue as where we are in the process, IT DID NOT give any clue when we will hear from them again. It did have a BF´d date but in all honesty that means fuck all.

So you can interpret Kenny´s and Mine replies how ever you want, but bottom line, there are NO shortcuts or concrete answers in this immigration system.
