| Subject: questions about landing canada at different city |

My hustand and I decide to land canada at the end of May, my question is that we have to land at the different city, he will land at vancouver and I will land at Toronto, does it matter if we land at different city? (The city we are going to live is Toronto)
Another question is: when we land, how much money we need to show? we will bring our bank statement in USA, but not sure how much should be enough on the bank statement?

You can land wherever you choose to. I indicated I would land in Calgary but I drove to New Brunswick. It made not a bit of difference. Since you are landing separately, it is wise for you as a woman to have a ton of money so you won´t be left in the cold soon after landing. Your guy probably needs the amount indicated on the CIC forms. Are ya guys trying to scan the land from west-end to Toronto for jobs?

Because of airline, my husband has to land in Vancouver, and he will take another plane to Toronto. I will directly land in Toronto, and we will meet in Toronto. Hope it is OK.

While filling up the immigration form I was wondering if choosing city ( Ques. No 18 where do you intend to live in canada?) has any effect on application timing or selection process? Can anybody tell me which citeria I should take into consideration while filling this point? Thanks

it does not affect processing time. I think they use the city to get a sense of where people are intending to go so they can allocate government program resources.
pick a city that seems logical to you. You are not held to that decision when it comes time to land.
