| Subject: How do they determine the Bring Forward Date? |

Hi all,
I am sponsoring my American Citizen wife to move to Canada. I am Canadian and we´re both currently residing in the U.S.
We´ve been waiting awhile for any news from Buffalo. Processing of my wife´s PR application began in late February. I´ve recently received my wife´s CAIPS notes (thru request) and determined that a Bring Forward Date of August 10th 1994 was established for Formal Assessment.
My question is, HOW IN THE WORLD IS THIS DATE DETERMINED??? HOW??? I am really confused. A lot of the PR applications for spousal sponsorships are processed in 3-4 months, clearly less than the date which was determined in my wife´s case.
So my question again is ... if anyone could answer it, I would realy appreciate it ...
WHAT METHOD IS USED TO DETRMINE THE BRING FORWARD DATE FOR FORMAL ASSESSMENT?

I am two months behind you, Buffalo have had my application since late April, I am also thinking of geting CAIPS notes if I have not heard anything by the end of August. If someone does know how they determine ´bring forward dates´ I would really like too.

Hei guys,
can you help me understand what is CAIPS and Bring Forward Date?
my wife is in Canada. I am still in the US. My wife applied in Canada, where after approving her as a sponsor they sent the case to Buffolo, where the case was officially opened on Feb 20, 2004. I have been login in the immigration site but have not seen any changes since. How can I find out where are they in processing the papers?

I´ve looked thru some of the available documentation (Processing Members of the Family Class and the Operations Memoranda) and could not find the approach used to determine the Bring Forward Date?
Since this date drastically affects processing time of my wife´s PR application, I´ve since sent a letter to the Buffalo office to enquire how this magical date is determined. There must be a method used.
