Subject: What should I do?
I applied for the PR in March 2004 and my AOR date is April 5th, 2004. I still haven´t heard back from Buffalo. I´ve faxed them four time last month but they never responded to my faxes. What should I do now? I also applied for CAIPS in second week of April. Its been more than 5 weeks and no news from them as well.

be a little more patient with the CAIPS notes. It took me just over 5 weeks to get mine. The CAIPS notes should have some clues for you.

I am hoping that there was a typo in your earlier post (April 2004 instead of April 2005 for AOR).

Good news and bad news.

Bad news
--------------
If I´m right (about the typo) , then you need not lose your sleep over this, as lots of our friends are in the same scenario. I am not sure how the CIC responds to your queries. Ordering CAIPS I feel is a good idea as it might give you a better picture.
Other than that, try to not concentrate on this too much, but try to stay on top by faxing once a while, hey you never know.

Good news
-------------
If your AOR is actually April 2005, then the only thing you have to feel sorry about is that you have already lost some time (due to whatever the reason they couldn´t locate you in the application database earlier) But the good thing is that you are on track (atleast from now onwards) and wait for approx 7-8 months before you can expect the IA.

Hope that helps !!
