Hello all:
I was an activer IT consultant living in Houston (TX), Bay Area (CA), Philly (PA). I returned back to India after encountering a ghastly incident in USA. I applied for Canadian immigration while I was in USA. Can someone please let me know how do I apply for USA Police Clearance Certificate for canadain immigration purpose!!!
Anyones help is really appreciated!!!

I hope you have applied to the Buffalo consulate in NYC. Complete details of obtaining a Police Certificate (PC) as per Buffalo center is concerned is given at http://www.dfait-maeci.gc.ca/can-am/menu-en.asp?act=v&mid=11&cat=164&did=398
Fingerprint cards are obtained from the FBI via faxing a request to the FBI at 304-625-3984. The faxed request should include the following: the entity name, point of contact or RO, the correct mailing address, contact telephone number and how many fingerprint card packets are requested. U can also get the fingerprint card mby mailing at the address in West Virginia, USA.
Then go thru all the steps as required on the website.

My friend said ( as he has done it as well) that you can get a finger printing kit from Mailbox etc. and it has all instructions.
You can also contact your local police station adn they can do finger printing.

I was in a pretty much same situation... well this is what I did...
I am living in Canada right now and I applied for immigration from here...
I went to the Indian Consulate here and got a PCC done here at the consulate... Its perfectly fine and there will be no problems for immigration...
Also its much quicker at the consulate then getting it done in India or anywhere else...
