Subject: Document from relative
I want to apply for Canadian immigration . My sister is in Canada and I have only copy of her landing paper, Sin card and her Toronto address. Unfortunately i cant request for any other documents. If i submit my case would embassy call any other documents of my sister or above mentioned documents would be enough (for 5 points).

Hi Imran,

You have to do three things to get the 5 points for a relative in Canada:

1) Prove that the person is your relative : Provide a copy of your and your sister´s birth certificates.

2) Prove that the person is a PR or citizen of Canada : Provide a copy of your sister´s PR card or COPR.

3) Prove that the person is currently living in Canada : Provide a copy of your sister´s latest bank statement, telephone bill, lease agreement, tax returns etc. Any recent document proving that she is living in Canada.

in my case, I have only provided copies of our birth certificate and copy of my relative canadian passport. I have not provided anything with regard proofing that he is living in canada.
