You can sponsor if

1) Your brother is an orphan under the age of 18 and not married or in a common-law relationship.

OR

2) You may sponsor one relative (Your Brother) of any age if you do not have an aunt, uncle or family member from the list above who you could sponsor or who is already a Canadian citizen, Indian or permanent resident.

OR

3) You can sponsor your parents and add your brother to the application as their dependent. You will have to keen in mind that your brother will have to be a full-time student after he turns 22 till the PR is granted. He will also have to be financially dependent on your parents and be single.

Thank you Kenny,

We´ve just lost our mother, therefore I would like to sponsor him and take care of him. Is he qualified as an orphan? my father is alive.

I dont think that the first option applies to you as your brother is 19. Check the second or third option.

I don´t quite understand the 2nd option.

If I don´t have any relatives as an Canadian Citizen or perminant resident? then i can sponsor my brother?

Actually, i don´t have any relatives in Canada. It is me alone and i have received my residency in last march.
