i got my permanent resident´s visa couple of days ago. i also got a job in US, and the company is sponsering me an H1 visa.
my question is if i enter canada will my H1 visa still remain valid and also how long do i need to stay in canada before i can come back.

(in reply to: after visa - time period) once you enter canada be there for atleast about 3 weeks - till you get the PR card... once you get that you are free to move where ever you want... you have to be 2 years inside canada in next 5 years to keep your PR valid. Otherwise it will be revoked...
So you can be in Canada for say a month get all your cards done: SIN, PR adn other stuff... and after that leave for US.

(in reply to: after visa - time period) ohh i forgot to mention... your h-1 will not be cancelled by the canadian immigration.
h-1 will still be valid.
