I don´t know from where you are guys, but everyone in Russia, who were born in 50´s, 60´s and ets. have inactive TB.We all recieved immune injection after birth. So, you should not have a problem.

This is true for a lot of people especially those from India. Did they tell you it was a confirmed TB granuloma. Have they done any further tests to confirm it. Sputum analysis etc? How is his ESR level after the blood test?Inactive TB is not of major covcern and many people live very healthy lives unless they are immunologically compromised. Unfortunately Canada might not be too lenient and will suggest further tests.

some good news-there is hope (in reply to: TB-Medical info)
This is from the website http://canadavisa.com/documents/medical.htm

Active Pulmonary Tuberculosis

Active pulmonary tuberculosis will be assessed M4, inadmissible as a danger to public health.

Inactive Pulmonary Tuberculosis

Inactive pulmonary tuberculosis may be generally profiled as M2 (conditionally admissible subject to public health surveillance).

Extrapulmonary Tuberculosis

Although not normally considered infectious, such cases should be placed under surveillance and profiled: M2

(M2= Has a condition for which the degree of risk to public health or safety is not sufficient to exclude admission, but which risk should be considered in relation to other personal and social criteria.)

Hi, Relax, no need to worry. Although it is a contagious one, things are pretty much in control. You will be asked for additional tests, i.e, sputum smear cultures (takes 8-10 weeks), ESR counts (should be low/normal. It is abnormally high in active TB patients) plus additinal X-rays. If these tests are negative (usually for inactive type guys), you will be cleared for visa stamping. However, it is very likely that you will be assessed M2.02 case taht means you have to do a check with in 30-days once you land in Canada. This is helpful not only to you but also the society. That is all, relax. No worries. Take care.

we have found out the same results and we are concerned that we have come this far only to be told that he won´t be permitted to stay. We have a S2.02 on our letter and was wondering what this meant? Does anyone know?

Dear all,

Thank you for your sharing!
Recently, I got a big concern in my TB medical exam. I recevied a letter, and it shows me I got a inactive TB (code S 2.02) as well. Most of people tell me I should be fine, but i worry that I have to take a treatment for a 9-12 months long before I land. Do you guys had a same problem? What is the next procedure? My application is in canada and transfer to LA.

My file is in process. Expect medical request in a month or so. Quite concerned coz i have inactive TB. I was treated for TB in 1995 since then i have never had any problem but after treatment my lung field still has some blurring(scaring) and is always visible in chest x rays.
Can you guys share your thoughts, opinions and experience.
I have been in Canada for last four years.
When came to canada 4 yrs back i was handed out a servailance form.
