Subject: Help/Guidance to settle down in Canada |

Hi
I will be shortly planning to settle down in Canada with my wife and a small baby.I wouldnt have a problem if it was me alone but now attention for the babies welfare in my priority. But questions arise as to where. Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, Ontario ? How is the real estate scenario and job market in these places. What is the best option to rent out or to buy if so what? Town houses, Condos, Detached houses, apatments.Which would be the good choice.
I think I am landing in such a big and beautiful country and makes hard for me to decide which will be my home sweet home.
Advises from the wise highly appreciated. So i could do final comparitive study.
Thanks and regards to all on the forum
Vijay

(in reply to: Help/Guidance to settle down in Canada) before you land here just do a little survey and check out how the job market is so you know where your skills are easily transferable.
Being in big cities gives you an advantage of more job opportunities as well as coming in contact with more people of similar background.
Look as job sites ans see how are things here in Canada.
I personally feel that being in big cities will be beneficial in keeping initial costs low. There is decent public transport, more jobs... rents may be a bit high but they are still better then getting a car right away and spending more money.
Canada is a very vast country but population wise its really not attractive... Toronto has the highest population(if I am not wrong) but if you drive like 1 hour north of toronto then you dont see much population... Canada is a very sparsely populated besides the high concentration in the big cities. and trust me you dont want to feel alone once you move to a new country...
Anyways these are my views... Good Luck moving to Canada.
